Codec 2.0 – Modern Audio Degradation Plugin (VST3/AU/AAX)
Codec is a real-time audio degradation plugin that simulates internet compression algorithms rather than traditional vinyl or tape effects. The plugin compresses and decompresses audio in your DAW, featuring voice and music modes, packet loss simulation, and a disorder system that shuffles audio packets. Version 2.0 adds gated noise generation and crunch controls with frequency-specific gain staging.
Compatible with VST3, AU, and AAX formats. Includes keyboard controls (WASD/arrows) and a pixel-based audio visualizer. Available as a free download alongside the Sweep plugin.
